Evacuation

It’s mandatory to carry out a detailed assessment identifying the risks and hazards in a commercial premises. By law, if you are responsible for the premises, you need to make sure that a Fire Risk/evacuation Assessment has been completed by a competent person.

The Civil Defence role in fire evacuation is to ensure that the means of escape in case of fire for all people who may be in a building is both adequate and reasonable.

It is your responsibility to provide a fire safety risk assessment that includes an emergency evacuation plan for all people likely to be in the premises including People of Determination.

Such an evacuation plan should not rely upon the intervention of the Civil Defence to make it work.

We can supply a range of evacuation chairs (manual and powered) and specialised training in how to correctly use your current or new equipment.

Emergency

In an emergency people of determination may be part of a phased evacuation or moved to a refuge area to wait for help in exiting the location.

Escape Smoke Hoods

A highly compact personal respiratory protective device, intended for self-rescue during emergency situations involving smoke and hazardous fumes.
The smoke hood provides short-term respiratory protection against toxic gases and particles.
The compact escape mask is adequate for almost all civilian non-industrial settings and meets the requirements of various environments.

During a fire, smoke rises creating problems for those requiring evacuating., this can be even more challenging for People of Determination who may need to wait for speciasl assistance.

Comprehensive escape plans and procedures need to be prepared. and complemented by good equipment.

The procedures and equipment put in place should take into account  every eventuality, where possible, in order to ensure the safest means of exit for all.

FIRE SMS ALERT SYSTEM

We can arrange bespoke braille signage

Braille Signs require careful design; we are experts at ensuring your facilities comply with the Dubai Universal Design code.

Our partners can create the Braille signs in several styles.

Using a combination of stock signs and specials, we can reduce cost for small or large scale tactile & braille sign projects.

Bespoke signage and wayfinding

Signs can be made up in Arabic and English. Expert guidance is important since braille is not a universal language. There is a braille language for many of the languages spoken today.
While the move toward braille uniformity, known as Unified English Braille (UEB), has led to many correspondences between the alphabets, the languages themselves are still distinct and unique.
